Indications on how to disable cookies on the website are given below:
Chrome
Start the browser, click on the button with the three dots and select the Settings item. Select Privacy and security in the menu, then click on the Settings item and on Cookies and website data. To disable all cookies, turn OFF the lever corresponding to the option Allow sites to save and read cookie data (recommended option). If, on the other hand, you only want to disable third-party cookies, move the switch next to Block third-party cookies to ON.
Firefox
Start the browser, press the button with the three horizontal lines, select the Options item. In the tab, select the item Privacy and security: Custom option from the Privacy section of the browser, make sure that there is a check in the box next to the item Cookies. Indicate which cookies to block, choosing from: Cookies from unvisited websites, All third-party cookies or All cookies. To add exceptions, click the Manage permissions button and type the URL of the reference website in the appropriate field, press the Block button as needed.
Internet Explorer
Click on the gear-shaped button and select Internet Options from the menu. Select Privacy and then Advanced. Check Replace automatic cookie management (if present) and select the Block option under the heading Cookies of the websites displayed and / or under that of third-party cookies. If there is a check in the box next to Always accept session cookies, remove it. Finally press the OK button. To manage exceptions, click on the Sites button in the Privacy section of the previously opened Internet Options window, enter the URL of the reference site in the field below the Website address item and then click on the Allow button.
To enable the anti-tracking function, click the gear wheel icon in the upper right part, select the Security item from the menu that opens and then the Activate Do Not Track requests or the Activate Do Not Track requests. Then, press the Activate button.
Opera
In the settings tab, select the Advanced item in the left side menu, select the word Confidentiality & Security from the latter and click on the Setting item in the Privacy and security section. Select Cookies and turn the switch located next to the item Allow sites to save and read cookie data to OFF (recommended option). To block only third-party cookies, set the switch next to Block third-party cookies to ON. To block cookies from some sites, enable the appropriate option and add the related exceptions, by pressing the Add button next to the Block item, typing the
URL of the reference site in the appropriate field and then pressing the Add button. Repeat these steps for each site to be included in the exceptions. To enable anti-tracking from the browser settings, select the Privacy & Security item from the Advanced menu on the left and turn ON the switch next to the word Send a request, Do not track with the navigation traffic in correspondence of the Privacy and security section.
Microsoft Edge
The operation is possible both from a computer, on Windows 10 (native) and on smartphones and tablets. Click on the button with the 3 dots and select the Settings item from the menu. Then select the item Privacy and security identified in the Cookie menu and select the option Block all cookies or that Block only third-party cookies as needed. It will also be possible to send the request not to track your activities to the sites you visit, activate the switch next to the item Send requests Do not keep track present below.
Safari
Start the browser, click on the Safari menu located at the top left and select the Preferences item from the latter. Select the Privacy tab and check Block all cookies and press the Block all button to confirm. You can choose to activate the option to prevent monitoring by websites. To do this, check the box next to the heading Prevent cross-website monitoring. From the iOS / iPadOS home screen, select the Settings icon and select the Safari item. In the Privacy and security section, select ON next to Block all cookies and confirm those linked to your intentions, click on the Block all button.
Smartphone and tablet Android – Chrome
It is possible to intervene only on Android. On iOS / iPadOS this function is not available. To disable cookies on Android, start Chrome, tap on the button with the three vertical dots and select the Settings item. Press site settings, select the wording Cookies and turn the switch to OFF. To block only third-party cookies, however, check the Block third-party cookies box. You can add an exception: Add exception for a site, type the URL of the site to be blocked in the appropriate field and tap on the Add item. Anti-tracking function: after logging in to the Settings section of the app, select the item Privacy: Do not track and turn the switch ON.
Smartphone and tablet – Firefox
Start the App, tap the button with the three vertical dots at the top right and choose the Settings item from the menu that appears. On the next screen, select Privacy, then that Cookie and choose the preferred option from Active, excluded from third parties or Deactivated. To send the anti-tracking request to Internet sites, you can do so by turning ON the switch next to the Anti-tracking item, also present in the Privacy section of the browser settings. For Firefox on iOS / iPadOS, press the button with the three lines and select the Settings item from the menu. select the Anti-tracking protection item, click the appropriate switch on ON and choose the option between Normal (default) or Maximum protection.
Smartphone e tablet – Edge
To disable cookies on Edge by operating from Android and iOS / iPadOS, open the application on the device and proceed with a click on the button with the 3 dots and select the Settings item from the menu. Then select the wording Site permissions, present in the Advanced section, and then the Cookie. Turn OFF the switch next to the item Cookies, turn the switch located next to the item Block third-party cookies to ON. To send an anti-tracking request to Internet sites, from the main Edge Settings screen, select the Privacy and security item in the Advanced section, and then Do not track and turn ON the relative lever.
Smartphone e tablet – Opera
The option is only possible on Android. iOS / iPadOS do not support this feature. Press the button with the app logo and select the Settings item from the menu. Proceed by selecting the item Cookies and select the Disabled option, to completely disable cookies, or Enabled, except third parties, to disable only third-party cookies.
Smartphone e tablet – Safari
Start the browser, click on the Safari menu located at the top left and select the Preferences item from the latter. Select the Privacy tab and check Block all cookies and press the Block all button to confirm. Check the box next to the heading Prevent monitoring between websites. From the iOS / iPadOS home screen, select the Settings icon and select the Safari item.
